About our Kid's Programs
"Students
develop the confidence to stand up for themselves when they must, to
walk away from a fight when they can, and to raise their hand in math
class and ask when they don't understand. Karate kids get better grades
because they practice their concentration skills two times a week in a
safe environment where they are challenged to be their "black belt"
best in all areas of their life; at school, with family, with friends,
and in other sports."
-Dale "Apollo" Cook
Little Ninjas
The
Little Ninjas program provides parents an opportunity to start their
child on the road to confidence and self-discipline at an early
age. This proven curriculum targets children, ages 4-6, and
includes all the fun of learning karate in a fun, safe environment.
Karate Kids
The
Karate Kids program is focused on arming your child with confidence,
discipline and practical self defense techniques. This proven
curriculum targets children, ages 7-12, and is also a great form of
exercise. Watch as your child learns these valuable life skills
as he or she progresses through the ranking system and achieves the
highest honor in martial arts, the Blackbelt.
Kid's Jiu Jitsu
Not
only can your child learn karate, but Apollo's offers the area's only
childrens Jiu Jitsu program taught by a Blackbelt. Jamie
"Jamo" Mickle holds a 2nd degree blackbelt in Ketsugo Jiu Jitsu and has
been teaching kids Jiu Jitsu since 1998. His upbeat style of
teaching combines practical self defense techniques and groundfighting.
"Why Martial Arts for my child?"
Testimonial #1
Dear Mr. Cook,
I
moved from California with ******(son) at the age of six after losing
his father, for a better life. I am a single mother now and this was
something I felt my child needed. I want to let you know, he is a brown
belt and it has affected every area of his life.
He has excelled in
school, it has helped build his self confidence in other activities.
His focus and concentration improved. I just don't know how to thank
you for providing a place where he can connect with other children and
not focus so much on the loss of his father. He has great role models
in his instructors and I have met many wonderful people at Apollo's
Karate.
Thank You
Pam
Testimonial #2
Dear Mr. Cook,
This
letter is for you and the staff at Apollo's Karate. I have had my
children involved in so many activities over the years. Never have I
been to a place as warm and welcoming as Apollo's Karate.
I have
twin boys and it has been difficult to find an activity that they
didn't compete against each other in, karate has definitely been that
avenue for them.
Thank You
Jara
